Unburden Monthly $500 Debt Payoff Contest — Effective April 2026
This contest is operated by Unburden Technologies, based in Ontario, Canada (hello@unburden.money). "Unburden" refers to the Unburden debt payoff planning application and its associated websites.
No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
The contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, excluding residents of the Province of Quebec. Employees, officers, directors, and immediate family members of Unburden Technologies are not eligible.
The contest runs on a monthly cycle. Each monthly contest period begins on the first day of the calendar month and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the last day of that calendar month. A new contest period begins on the first day of the following month. Entries do not carry over between months.
To enter, visit unburden.money/contest/, complete the entry form with a valid email address, and check the consent box. One entry per person per monthly contest period. Entries submitted by any other means, including automated means, are void.
The sponsor reserves the right to offer bonus entries for specific actions within the Unburden app (such as downloading the app or logging a payment). Bonus entries are awarded at the sponsor's discretion and will be disclosed on the contest entry page.
One (1) winner per monthly contest period will receive $500 CAD, delivered via Interac e-Transfer to the email address provided at entry. The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable. No cash equivalent or substitution, except at the sponsor's sole discretion.
The sponsor reserves the right to increase the prize value in future contest periods, which will be communicated on the contest entry page.
The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the applicable monthly contest period. The draw will take place within five (5) business days following the end of each contest period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Before receiving the prize, the selected winner must correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the sponsor. Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
The winner will be notified by email at the address provided at entry within five (5) business days of the draw. The winner must respond within five (5) business days of notification. Failure to respond within this period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. The sponsor is not responsible for undelivered emails.
The winner's first name and province of residence may be announced publicly on Unburden's website and social media channels.
By entering, you consent to receive contest-related communications and occasional product updates from Unburden by email. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Personal information collected is governed by the Unburden Privacy Policy and is used solely for contest administration and communications. Records of consent are retained for a minimum of three (3) years in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
The sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend this contest at any time for any reason, including if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the contest. The sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and territorial laws. Void where prohibited.
