Unburden is operated from Ontario, Canada. When these terms refer to "we," "us," or "Unburden," they mean the operator of the Unburden application and the unburden.money website.
Unburden provides debt tracking tools, payoff calculators, the Burden Index score, and related educational content. These tools use mathematical modeling based on the data you enter.
Unburden does not provide financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. All results, projections, and scores are for informational and educational purposes only. They are based on the data you provide and mathematical formulas. Individual results will vary. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making decisions based on information from Unburden.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Unburden. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Unburden does not require an account to use. Your financial data is stored locally on your device. For details on how your data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
Unburden offers a free tier that includes core features: the Burden Index score, up to 3 debts, Snowball and Avalanche strategies, and the Daily Cost Counter. The free tier does not require payment or a trial.
Unburden offers the following paid plans:
Prices are in USD. Recurring subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
Monthly and Annual plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be charged at the applicable rate.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from within the app settings. You can also email hello@unburden.money and we will cancel it for you. No questions asked.
When you cancel, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.
If you cancel during a free trial, you will not be charged. For paid subscriptions, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@unburden.money within 14 days of a charge to request a refund.
Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 14 days.
You agree not to misuse Unburden. This includes but is not limited to: attempting to reverse-engineer proprietary algorithms, using automated systems to access the service, or redistributing content from the service without permission.
All content, design, code, algorithms (including the Burden Index and Momentum strategy), and branding on Unburden are the intellectual property of their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without written permission.
Unburden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any calculations, scores, or projections.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unburden and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Unburden in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Unburden after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Unburden shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
